About Me
Hello! I was born and raised in San Diego County before moving to Los Angeles to pursue a Business degree at the University of Southern California (USC). Following my time at USC, I moved to New York City to pursue a job in finance, but began to feel dissatisfied and lost in who I was and what I was doing with my career. Upon moving back to California, I began to see a therapist to help me develop tools to cope with low self-esteem, feeling lost, and boundaries. After seeing immense changes in my life, I fell in love with the art of therapy. I applied to graduate school and, a year later, I was enrolled in Hope International University’s Marriage and Family Therapy Masters program.
During graduate school, I worked with women in individual and group therapy. I facilitated a group designed for women who have been in or are struggling with domestic violence relationships. I also led a women’s substance use disorder group to aid women in their recovery. During this time, I worked with women struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, domestic violence, sobriety, and self-esteem. It was incredible to witness the growth these women achieved in the time I worked with them.
Upon becoming a Marriage and Family Therapist, I spent time working with children, teens and adults in East Los Angeles who were struggling with severe behavioral health needs. In this setting, I found my passion for providing care to marginalized communities who are fighting against poverty, racism and intergenerational trauma. As a result, I am well-versed in providing safe, trauma-informed, and nonjudgmental care to anyone who walks into therapy with me.
I shifted into the private practice realm and have been working with teens, adults, and couples. This is where you come in! I am currently providing telehealth as well as in-person therapy to continue helping people become the most authentic, joyful versions of themselves.
